Band Bio

Steve doing his thing

The JCGB is one of the most popular bands in the Midwest. Their music is roots rock, infused with an outlaw flair and they are recently celebrating the release of their third CD offering, “Live at the Sondheim”.

Front man Steve McLain has one of those rare voices that never misses the mark, and a good-vibes personality that is humble, confident and electrifying.

Whether cutting loose at an all-day outdoor music festival, a college, a bike rally, a main stage or a tavern-this is a band guaranteed to lift your spirits and get your feet moving with their irrepressibly tight musicianship and down-home esprit de corps.

Live shows are a powerful mix of original tunes with Rock, Blues, Folk, Country and Reggae classics. The band incorporates the themes of love, pride, community, and conservation in their creative mix. It is music played from the heart that goes straight to the heart; that makes you feel good, happy to be alive, elevates your soul and makes you want to come back for more.

Kevin Riley

Harmonica magic and stuff. Have you played a harmonica today? Go get one. They are amazing fun! I recommend Hohner Special 20's, Golden Melodies, and Harrison B-Radicals. All awesome harps, course you'll pay a ton more for the B-Radical. Worth every penny, IMO.

duffy

Yeah.... We better let Duffy update this. We could go on all day making stuff up but that's just what we do. More coming soon.

Ed Raines

Dr. of Saxaphonologistics. Actually a lead guitar player who was tricked into playing the saxaphone at the wee age of 7. Nice. Chuckle... Wheeze... Guffaweeze. Sweet. Doh!

Steve McLain

Forth Generation Iowan. Steve McLain writes the songs and rocks em' all night long. Steve likes squirrel cookies and long walks on the broken street of dreams. Don't ask.
