Earth Day Weekend is Lookin’ Mighty Fine
Happy Anniversary to the Hideaway Bar in Fairfield Iowa! They turn 6 this Saturday night (April 21st) and we’ll be there celebrating our 10th anniversary as the Jefferson County Green Band! It’s an early outside show so come early. We play from 7-11.

On Sunday, we will be playing in Chautaqua Park to celebrate the planting of an edible public orchard at the park. Our band will be helping to plant the orchard and your help is both welcome and needed!

Jefferson County Green Band in Libertyville on 03/23/12
We will be recording live audio and video for our new album this Friday at the Dew Drop Inn! One of the songs on our album is named after this venue and it would only be right for us to record it on location. Please come be a part of a memorable evening! We start between 8-9 pm.

You All Rock! JCGB is Going to Wakarusa!
Green Band has officially won a slot at Wakarusa! Thank you all for showing your support and to the new friends we made. Last night was an incredible night of music with 3 other great bands and we are completely stoked to have come out on top.
We will post more images and info soon. Remember, if you were at Vaudeville last night, you get in FREE at the Dew Drop Inn in Libertyville, IA this Saturday! One of our all time favorite little places to play!

Waka Winter Classic… Just need you Feb 9th!
Attention GreenBand fans! The Wakarusa Music Festival will be traveling all over the country this winter. At every stop on the tour 4 or 5 bands will complete in a regional showcase. The winner of each contest as decided by the fans in attendance, will receive an invitation to play at Wakarusa 2012. We’ll be competing be in the Iowa contest at the Vaudeville Mews in Des Moines on Feb 9th!
The key part of that is, “fans in attendance”. It wouldn’t be any fun without you all anyway. Bring everything you’ve got! Bring the cat! How bout the pet fish? Kids… don’t bring them! They aren’t ready for this set yet. Mostly, bring YOU!

It’s On! GreenBand in the Recording Studio Right Now
So freaking excited about this next album. Love the feeling of these songs. David is warming up the washboard here as we all find our isolation nooks for the recording marathon over the next couple days. Swimming in a sea of cords and coffee cups, running hand dryers and rubbing sticks together to keep the studio above freezing.
